Huntswood Golf Club adopts ‘ADS’ as their charity of the year
Huntswood Golf Club, offering a beautifully set 18-hole golf course in Burnham, made the announcement this week. Their new Captains handover has taken place on Friday, the 8th of November 2024, with the Captains Drive-In on Saturday the 9th of November, along with their first fundraising and awareness drive.
‘ADS’ Chairman David Jannetta and ‘ADS’ Fundraising Director Lee Mathers where invited to spend the afternoon on Saturday with the new club Captains: Jane and Gary at the Drive-In. Jane and Gary put on a lovely event and were delighted to have us as the Charity they want to support for the next year.
During the Drive In event the members and their guest had a raffle and held a prize giving for the day's golfing activities. David gave a lovely speech about our work and support in their community. The club responded well and welcomed the new charity partnership. The Club Captains informed us that the Drive In event's fundraising activities had raised around £1,300 for the charity and they were looking forward to the next year of club events and activities to help support the charity with it's ongoing work.
Alzheimers Dementia Support Chairman David Janetta said: ‘I am delighted that Huntswood Golf Club have adopted ‘ADS’ as their Charity of the year for 2025. We are so grateful to all of their members who have agreed to support us, we are truly honoured’.
We look forward to our joint collaborative efforts for the year ahead.
